What does it do?

Used as a colorant in hair dyes.

Details

A synthetic dye used as an active coloring agent in hair dyes. It imparts yellowish-orange tones to the product. Because it contains a nitro group, allergic reactions may occur on the skin, especially around the eyes and on the scalp. Individuals with allergies or sensitive skin should be cautious when using dyes containing this substance. It may appear on labels as 'HC Yellow 7' or simply 'nitro dye'.
