A natural oil component providing a lavender-like floral scent.
Details
An ester found naturally in plants such as lavender, bergamot, and sage; it gives the product a pleasant, floral, and slightly fruity scent. Generally considered safe, but it can break down on the skin into linalool. Since linalool is a known allergen, this conversion may lead to irritation or allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. It is subject to specific concentration limits in the EU. While it poses no problem for most people, those with eczema should still be cautious.
