A component used to provide fragrance.
Details
A fragrance component found naturally in spices such as cloves and coconut, and also produced synthetically. It is an isomer of eugenol and provides a similar, softer clove scent. It can cause allergic reactions; its potential to cause skin sensitization increases especially when oxidized. Under EU regulation, it is limited to not exceed 0.02% in oral and other products. Those with sensitive skin or oral lesions should be cautious.
